Storm Sweater Junior is knitted from top to bottom with structured knitting. First, the back is knitted back and forth. Next, stitches are picked up for the shoulders, which are then brought together at the front to continue knitting on the front piece. Front piece and back are joined in turn under the armhole and continue in the torso, which is knitted straight down. The sleeves are knitted in the round on double pointed needles or with Magic Loop technology. An elastic edge is knitted in the neck, which is folded double and knitted down. Storm Sweater Junior is knitted with structured knitting consisting of four different pattern segments.

Do a sample before you start knitting to measure the stitch strength - note that the stitch strength in both the height and width must be correct, for the measurements given on the front to be correct. You can make random samples according to diagrams in knitting patterns.

Storm Sweater Junior should have a range of motion (positive ease) of approx. 20 cm in relation to the bust measurement. Sizes 1-2 (2-3) 3-4 (4-5) 5-6 (6-7) 7-8 (8-9) 9-10 (10-11) 11-12 (12-14) years corresponds to a bust measurement of around 53 (54) 56 (57) 59 (62) 64 (68) 72 (75) 78 (82) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the knit strength is maintained). If you/the recipient e.g. measures 59 cm around the chest, you should knit a size 5-6 years. A sweater in size 5-6 years has an overall width of 80 cm and in the mentioned example will give a range of motion (positive ease) of 21 cm. If the measured bust measurement deviates from the age guide, you should pay attention to adapt the length to the person you are knitting for. The same applies if the child is shorter/taller than average.
