The Lyon Sweater is knitted from the top down. First, the upper part of the back is knitted with increases. The shoulder sections are then knitted from picked up stitches at the top of the back piece. Stitches are then picked up along the shoulder sections and the rest of the yoke is knitted together on the circular needle, first back and forth and then around. The torso is knitted in the round on circular needle and the sleeves are knitted in the round on double pointed needles or with Magic Loop technology. Finally, a double-fold elastic edge with built-in double knitting is knitted in the neckline. The Lyon Sweater is knitted with stripes, and the placement of these is indicated in the pattern.

Size guide

The Lyon Sweater should have a range of motion (positive ease) of approximately 20 cm in the smallest sizes but gradually less in the larger sizes. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement, measured on the body, of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) ) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern. Note: These measurements only apply if the stick strength is maintained. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. If you e.g. measures 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A sweater in size S has an overall width of 108 cm and in the mentioned example will give a range of movement (positive ease) of 18 cm.
